This day trip starts with a pick-up by an air-conditioned and comfortable vehicle at 09:00 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech, then make the 3 hours drive to Ouzoud waterfalls, they are located at 170Km from Marrakech, in the middle Atlas section close to Azilal province in M’goun Geopark. The cascades of Ouzoud are one of the most visited attractions and recommended one-day trips departing from Marrakech. On the road, you will admire the landscapes of Berber villages.
Upon arrival, you discover the beauty of the highest waterfalls of Morocco (Around 110 m), meet a local guide who will take you for a guided trek around the cascades for a couple of hours, visit one of the old mills on the top of the falls, ride the local boats to cross the river, you could access the bottom of the falls through a shaded path of olive trees where some Barbary apes may greet you on the way. Enjoy a tasty Berber Tagine in one of the local restaurant/cafés terraces. Ouzoud falls are a popular site for Moroccans too especially in summer as it is a perfect place for a refreshing swim (bring your swimming suit), it may be crowded during weekends. Your day trip will end in the afternoon, we head back to Marrakech, then we drop you off at your accommodation in the red city around 6:00 PM.
