We start our 2-Days Tour To Zagora Desert, with pick-up by an air-conditioned and comfortable vehicle at 8 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech. We cross the High Atlas Mountains- Tizi-n-Tichka Pass driving throughout for miles and miles enjoying the fascinating presence of superb and scattered Berber villages to reach the world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous ksar (ksar = old village of kasbahs), a fortified village dated to 18th century and marked as world heritage by unesco since 1987, this beautiful site was an attractive furtile land for many directors to shoot many movies such as: Gladiator, the Lawrence of Arabia, the Alexander, The jewel of the Nile… after exploring the Kasbah, you will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Continue towards the Draa valley and its huge palm grove via Ouarzazate crossing village of Agdez and kasbahs. Arriving to the Saharan town of Zagora where the remains of an Almoravid fortress can still be seen. After a tea break, ride camels for a new adventure, crossing the palm grove of Draa to reach the sands of Tinfo dunes to spend the night under the Berber tents.
After a typical breakfast in the desert camp of Zagora, you are greeted by the attractive sight of the sunlight rising over the small dunes of the Zagora desert. The final part is the camel ride back to your hotel to meet your driver to start a new explorative journey towards Marrakech. You will also have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch in one of the local restaurant and also visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios. In the afternoon, we drive you back to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains, which brings an end to your 2-days Zagora deset tour. Drop off in your accommodation around 6 PM.
